[edit] In this Episode
Main Review: Jeremy reviews the Aston Martin DBS, and can't work out what it's for. He says despite it being a very good car, it is not as frightening as an Italian supercar nor as fast as a Vanquish S in a drag race. He then concludes that it's a brilliant GT car, but it is too similar to its sister, the DB9.
News: The new RWD Hyundai Coupe is revealed, and Jeremy gets crossed by the Nissan Qashqai, because he thinks that the Audi R8 is a better car by far.
Challenge: The three presenters want to celebrate the British Leyland's 40th anniversary. The producers think it is a bad idea, so they tell the presenters to go ahead and buy a BL car for £1200 of their own money. Richard buys a Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Jeremy a Rover SD1, and James an Austin Princess. The challenges include 40 miles of motorway driving, race track performance, handbrake reliability, ride comfort and build quality. For every challenge that's passed, each of the presenters get some of their own money back, towards the original cost of the car.
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Comedienne Jennifer Saunders sets an impressive time of 1.46:1, just 0.2 seconds below Simon Cowell, the board leader.
