In this EpisodeMain Challenge: The trio answer the question "Can you buy a road legal tax and tested car for less than £100?". Jeremy buys a Volvo 760 2.8L V6 GLE, James buys an Audi 80 1.8E, and Richard buys a Rover 416GTI. They drive their cars from London to Manchester and back to the track, where they perform numerous tests including crashing into a barrier at 30 mph. News: The trio bash Alistair Darling and the speeding fine system. Italian police department has a new car, a Lamborghini Gallardo. Richard presents a sneak peek of the new Volkswagen cabriolet with a metal folding roof. The Chrysler 300C is also introduced. Review: Hammond, in order to regain dignity after hosting the show Krufts, decides to buy a 1968 Dodge Charger. He test drives the car and explains the history behind the car and the reason for his interest in the car: "Movie villains always drove Chargers". He states that even though it has poor brakes, too much weight, poor steering, and is enormous, the charm of the car wins him over. Jeremy and Richard argue about the Charger back in the studio. Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Jordon takes the Liana around in 1:52.0. Preview: The Rolls-Royce 100EX convertible is in the studio. James and Richard show off some of it's toys and features. Review: Jeremy compares the Porsche GT3 RS with the Ferrari 360 CS. He respects the simplicity and engineering in the GT3 but prefers the 360 in the end for it's insanity and general superiority. The Ferrari does the lap in 1.22.3, and the Porsche completes it's lap surprisingly also in 1.22.3. ScreenshotsTagsDodge Charger, 100 pound car challenge, Ferrari 360 CS, Porsche GT3 RS, Jordan |
