[edit] In this Episode
Main Review: Jeremy Clarkson tests the Volvo S60R in the Top Gear track to see how it compares to the BMW M3. In spite of all the clever technology on board, Jeremy thinks it isn't a real sport saloon like the M3, but more a "medium-speed" cruiser, and one a bit boring, at that. This shows when The Stig takes it to the track, where all he manages is a time of 1:35, over 3 seconds slower than the German car.
News: Ford Focus C-Max: not many potential customers. The Conservative and the Labour Parties announce a bunch of measures. James May comments on a steam-powered bicycle. Rover launch a couple new cars, which prompts a rant by Jeremy Clarkson.
Review: Instead of driving the new Mazda RX-8, James goes to Germany to test a prototype by GM: the Hy-Wire.
Studio Segment: The three presenters show some car-related gadgets.
Greatest Car in the World: Graham Le Saux champions the Audi Quattro.
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Actor Patrick Stewart talks about people talking on mobile phones while driving and how he loves Jaguars. He posts a time of 1:50.0
Review: Richard goes to Holland to test the Carver car-bike.
Insider Dealing: James May explains how to save money in all kinds of Saabs, Audis, Fords and even Maseratis.
Review: Since everyone must be watching something else, Jeremy decides to fill some minutes showing his test of the Vauxhall Signum. At first he can't understand it, but in the end he decides that it's the first car that only works if you're sitting in the back. It even can be driven from there, as Clarkson proves at the end of the test.
