Jaguar XKR

Jeremy reviewed the Jaguar XKR in the first episode of Series 9. The XKR has a 4.2l V8, producing 420 hp (300 kW) and goes from 0-60 in 4.9s.

He finds it a bit underpowered and under equipped for his taste but still loves it, because it sounds much better than the XK on which it is based and also power slides much better than most cars. It wins him over because like many Jaguars, it's built with a bit more soul than the rival Mercedes or BMWs and is a much better looking car as well.

He also pits it against it's sister; the AMV8, the more hardcore version of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It ends up beating that as well, being as good to drive, just as fast, better equipped and quite a lot cheaper.
