[edit] In this Episode

The theme of this episode is "Blokishness".

Studio Segment: Richard Hammond explains in a simple manner the difference between understeer and oversteer.

Review: Jeremy Clarkson tests the Porsche 911 Turbo in the Top Gear track. Seconds after declaring it to be better than the Ferrari 355, he spins it. The Stig laps the track in 1:31.0 under heavy rain.

Review: Jeremy Clarkson road tests the Porsche 911 C4S. He thinks it's a good car, but he can't see why anyone would pay more for what is basically a fake 911 Turbo.

Studio Segment: Jeremy explains to the blokes, "in basic English", the 911 range.

Weird People: Hammond visits a man that has to be the biggest car bore in Britain.

Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Anne Robinson talks with Clarkson about blokes, blokishness and big block Chevy engines. Her time of 1:56.0 is not very good, placing her third bottom.

Greatest Car of All Time: Richard Hammond champions the cause of the Land Rover.

News: New Mondeo, same as the old one. Vauxhall offers a Vectra for 24h. James gives the prices of several extras for the Volvo XC90. Hammond introduces a new device from Honda to protect drivers from road rage. James May introduces the new Peugeot 307CC, the Renault Megane CC and the Daihatsu Copen, after which he goes on a rant reaffirming his blokishness.

Review: After declaring himself the only proper bloke in the programme, James May reviews a proper bloke's car: the Triumph TR6

Insider Dealing: James May gives some tips on deals on the Jaguar X-Type and the Vauxhall VX220.

Challenge: The Ford Rally Team mechanics face the Pirelli girls in a peculiar race.

Main Review: Jeremy Clarkson has some fun in the Top Gear track with the Renault Clio V6. The Stig posts a lap time of 1:36.2 under heavy rain and despite spinning the car in the final corner.
